The Big 12 roundtable makes a return this week after taking a one week sabbatical. Our focus this week is the Big 12 conference which, frankly, has been less than impressive in non-conference games this year.

The Big 12 conference has only four unbeaten teams left and has endured numerous embarrassing performances on television. State where you believe the Big 12 ranks among the BCS conferences.

Currently I would rank the Big 12 ahead of the Big East and the Big 10. I'm confident that Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri would be able to beat West Virginia, Rutgers and South Florida from the Big East. Iowa State, hands down the worst team in the Big 12, beat Iowa proving the weakness of the Big 10.

I don't think that the ACC is better than the Big 12 but I'm not sure that collectively they are worse either. Let's call it a draw!

The Pac 10 is better and the SEC is the best conference in the country.  

What has been the conference's best victory and worst defeat so far this season?

Clone Chronicles is going to love me for this because I'm crediting Iowa State for both of these. Thanks to the Cyclones' loss to Northern Iowa we really can't make fun of Michigan's loss to Appalachian State, that much.

However, the Cyclones did beat Iowa which solidifies that fact that although the Big 12 is down it isn't the worst conference in the country.  

Who is the worst coached team in the conference?

Unfortunately there are too many options here. Iowa State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M are all candidates for this dubious distinction but I have to go with the Aggies.

A&M seems to be out coached more frequently and brings more embarrassment to the conference under Coach Fran than any other current coach.

With the regular season already a third of the way over, which players received too much hype in late August and which players didn't receive enough?

Over Hyped
1.    Bobby Reid, Oklahoma State - Take Mike Gundy's side or Jennie Carlson's, I don't care. Bobby Reid has failed to produce on the football field.
2.    Sam Keller, Nebraska - Maybe he hasn't totally removed the rust from a one year layoff. Then again maybe there was a reason Arizona State didn't shed any tears over his departure.
3.    Coly McCoy, Texas - Same skill position weapons as last year but a revamped offensive line. Hmmmm, I wonder what the difference is this year with the Longhorns offense.
4.    Mike Goodson, Texas A&M - Less than 70 yards rushing per game and only two touchdowns in 12 quarters.

Under Hyped
1.    Juaquin Iglesias, Oklahoma - All the preseason attention was on Malcolm Kelly but it has been Iglesias who has been shredding opposing defenses to the tune of 111 yards per game.
2.    Todd Reesing, Kansas - Almost 300 yards passing per game with 11 touchdowns to only 1 interception. The best thing is that he hasn't played OSU or Texas A&M yet.
3.    Michael Crabtree, Texas Tech - Nearly 200 yards receiving per game with 11 touchdowns.
