Joel from Rocky Top Talk (SBN's Tennessee Volunteers site) sent an automated drive chart from the Big 12 championship game. I have to admit that it's pretty neat and it illustrates just how dominant the Sooners were over the Tigers. Oklahoma scoring on four consecutive possessions in the second half put the Missouri Tigers away in convincing fashion. It's definitely worth the 30 seconds it takes to watch it!

Another key aspect...

That wasn't discussed (at least, not that I've heard):  field position. Look at OU's average starting field position vs. Mizzou's. We kept them pinned back pretty far all game; their best starting field position was their own 32 yard line, and only  three of their 11 possessions started beyond their own 20. On the other hand, only 4 of OU's 11 possessions started inside their own 30!!

What a testament to OU's special teams play, especially in the kicking game. Long fields make for long days.

Good point

Hartley's leg was incredibly valuable in forcing Mizzou to start at the 20 time after time.

Yeah, great point

Heartly blasting kickoffs through the endzone was huge.
