I am a member of Rockmnation and I just created a profile on Crimson and Cream because of this recent post by a sooner fan. Is this representative of Sooner Nation?

Let me start this by admitting that the Sooner football fan base is an arrogant fan base. Seven national championships and forty-one conference championships will do that. We expect to win and do take offense when a team that the Sooners have already beaten says that they are better but they just gave the game away.

Now, any realistic Missouri fan would admit that there was a ridiculous amount of disrespect dished out towards the Sooners going into this game. Personally I was called all kinds of names over at Rock M Nation because I disagreed with Ross on the NBC debate that Missouri gave the game away. I said that OU took the game away and was blasted for it. I also said that OU would win 41 - 24 and was blasted even worse with vulgarity.

All of that said the majority of OU fans can pride themselves on two things. First, that we can actually articulate a complete sentence without using profanity. Second that there is no need for us to go back and gloat over a victory, unless you are Texas, because our football team pretty much speaks for itself on the field.

I'm sorry you were offended by his remarks and yes I think they were unnecessary. However, you would be fooling yourself if you thought that there weren't any Missouri fans like that as well. My opinion of the Tigers and their fans is that for the most part they are pretty classy but like every other school in America every now and then a bad seed pops up.

So the answer is no. This guy is not a reflection of Sooner fans as a whole. He has every to be proud of what Oklahoma accomplished on the football field but I've always felt that if you had something to say do it before the game and not after. The scoreboard speaks for itself.

that a lot of it stems from a misunderstanding from OU fans.

When we kept saying, we gave the game away, what we really mean to say is, "We hung with perennial powerhouse OU." That's all. We had a chance for the game to come down to the final minute, and we blew it. Then, in the Championship game, you beat the crap out of us. Up. Down. All over.

You owned us. You pwned us.

You stuck it in.

You kicked the living hell out of us.

You beat us like we stole something.

Is that enough?

Now, we apologized over at Rock M when you explained the TV guy had you interrupting Ross.

We thought you were arrogant before the game. Your team came out and proved you have a right to be.

But being a bunch of jackasses about it, 1. is just classless and 2. will lead to Karmic things like, oh, I don't know, losing to Boise State.

For me, I'm pissed your team couldn't hold it's jock together all season. Our team got beat twice by a superior team. The same superior team. A team that should be no.1 in the country, if it weren't for the monumentally stupid losses to Tech and Colorado.

But the fact that it was so absurd that we could even possibly beat you, was offensive. It also turned out to be true. And we've done all we can to admit that.

But for the love of God, focus on winning your bowl game this time against an inferior opponent, tearing other fans' scrotums off, and representing the Big 12. Stroking yourself is the reason you had 2 losses.

Also, next year, if you want to blow your wide open shot to the championship, if you could go ahead and lose that third game? That'd be great. Thanks.

OU's just better. That's all there is to it.
