Who's to blame for the Phillies' struggles? Bar-right-arrows

I really don't see Nichol staying around.

With the way Bradford took the reins and ran with the opportunity (34 td's-8 int's), I can't see Nichol beating him out.
That's not to say Nichol may not be a good QB, but Bradford had better numbers than Heisman Finalist, Chase Daniels.
Rivals had Bradford rated the #12 Pro-Style QB, and Landry Jones is the #8 Pro-Style QB ranked for 2008.
Nichol was the #6 Dual-Threat QB.

Based on what type of QB has had the most success at OU during the Stoops era, it would have to be the Pro-Style QB's.  Which is another reason why I would hope to keep the Landry Jones commitment.

It would be great if Nichol stays for insurance, but I won't be surprised to see him transfer.

Landry Jones
Has said that he is still coming and Nichol has said that he is staying. We'll see what the spring and summer brings.

Recruiting
I sure hope Jones keeps his word and becomes a Sooner. He could take a redshirt year plus I don't see either he or Nichol beating out Bradford. Nichol would be wise to stay because he could be THE backup next year. Starters have gotten knocked out before at OU plus Nichol could give the offense a little different look from time to time if Kevin Wilson would develop some quarterback option plays. But my bigger concerns are at defensive end and linebacker. We need some top recruits to keep our defense up to par. In any event it's going to be an interesting offseason.

Keep in mind
That Oklahoma has some young defensive ends as it is.

I can only hope he dosen't
because OU has a history of transfers kicking themselves afterward, cause the main man went down.

Most guys tow the company line at this point
but I certainly hope he sticks around. Even though he was clearly behind Halzle this season Nichol still has huge potential.
