New hypothetical concept designs for OU football helmet

I came across these photos yesterday and it made me curious to know what other OU fans thought of it.

I know there are a ton of Oklahoma fans out there who love the tradition of OU and would hate something like this. While there are also a number of OU fans who would like to see them shake things up a little bit.

So let us know what you think about the pics.

(Oh, and I should be clear I don't believe this is anything OU is actually considering. I believe it is just one of those hypothetical concept design deals as opposed to something actually on the table as a possibility.)

Apparently West Virginia bailed on them, so they've started to reach out to several schools about the now open spot on their schedule.

Would be interesting to say the least, but I kind of feel like we got them at just the right time last year. Not sure I see the upside in OU taking a game like that for next year.

They're players are all just so big, it's not really fair.

Laith Harlow will receive a medical hardship. He was announced with the class this evening. He just hadn't been cleared by compliance until later in the afternoon because of all the medical issues. But he will be on a medical scholarship. He won't play football.

Texas out of the DGB sweepstakes

Not really sure how in it they ever really were. Certainly not the 50+% b.s. that Texas sites were selling to their burnt orange Kool-Aid slurping masses. Claiming a "moral victory" for still being in it as they're claiming is really just kind of sad.

To their credit, after putting together back-to-back sub-par (and that's being kind) seasons they're still putting together one heck of a class. Other than that stupid "We're Texas" line there really is no other explanation. So as difficult as it is for an OU fan to admit, I have to very begrudgingly respect that.

Yeah, we're almost assuredly not getting DGB but they aren't either. And short of winning, that's a close second for this OU fan.

The talk online is starting to circulate around the Missouri Tigers and that the home town team and DGB's desire to stay close to home might have won out.

We'll know for sure on Wednesday, but between now and then you can expect plenty of speculation like this.

Not sure about all of you, but I'm pretty much over it.
