Ealy is listed at 6’7” and weighs in between 280 and 300 pounds (depending on where you look), so he’s definitely got the size to be a major contributor on the offensive line. He had offers from a lot of other major schools, so he’s definitely a great addition to Sooner Squad 17. Plus, getting the 19th ranked OT from his home state of Louisiana (also SEC territory) is a major win for the coaching staff.
How he fits
The word on Ealy isn’t just that he has great size, but also that he’s got long arms and a powerful hands on his blocks. The Sooners have been building dominant skill and depth all across the offensive line, and Ealy will be a core part of that unit moving forward. With Ealy, the strength of OU just got even better.
