Brett Deering

In 1988, Oklahoma defeated Kansas St. 70-24 by turning in a record setting performance.

Digging into Oklahoma Sooners Football history provided a gem for day 70 of our countdown to kickoff.

In October of 1988, Coach Barry Switzer and the wishbone offense exploded off the charts while turning in a record setting performance. The effort erased the previous record of 758 yards set in 1980 against Colorado.
