Evidently the Irish did not instill much confidence in Vegas during their less than impressive win over Michigan State on Saturday as the Sooners have opened as a three point favorite over the Irish. And on the road no less where Bob Stoops teams have certainly had their fair share of issues in the past. We'll have to see how much, if at all, the line moves throughout the week, but generally when Vegas considers two teams to be pretty even the home team typically gets three points. Obviously that is not the case here with the Irish being the home team and yet also the underdog. However, as many of you know the line Vegas sets is not necessarily a statement to which team they believe is better. Ultimately Vegas' goal is to set a line that generates as much possible action on both sides of the bet. So installing Notre Dame, a team with an enormous (and at times confident) fan base, as the underdog is sure to generate plenty of action.
