What are we, like 1-47 against the Irish? Every time I read something about it the number gets bigger and the writer seems to be channeling Rudy Ruettiger. Granted, if you look at the years we played them, those were not some of OU's better teams, so keep that in mind. After last year's debacle, I'm convinced the issue with the current OU regime lies not with the players but with the coaching staff, particularly everyone's fave OC...Mr Heupel. Last year it appeared to me that Josh had the mindset of "this is THE Notre Dame, so doing the things that have made us successful against the rest of the world won't work. We must deviate from what we do best." I'm convinced that players look across the LOS and see other players, no matter who they are playing. You can't make me believe that the second Damien or Brennan or Keith gets the handoff they are thinking "that's not just anyone I'm running at...it's Shembo". If Stoops has it in him, he needs to find a way to keep his staff grounded and calling the game with the attitude that they are playing against a very good football team, not a team of destiny.
