The Oklahoma men's basketball program announced Wednesday that sophomore guard Je'lon Hornbeak had undergone a procedure to repair a stress fracture in his foot. If you'll recall, back in April there was a report some a similar type of injury but at the time it was believed surgery would not be necessary.
Hornbeak did play extensively, and quite well, during Oklahoma's recent five game European trek, so this could simply be a reaggravation of the April injury that he played through or something unrelated entirely.
Regardless, Hornbeak is expected to be out for 6-8 weeks but should be ready for the start of the 2013-14 season.
