Former Oklahoma Basketball Star, Mookie Blaylock, Involved In Serious Car Accident

UPDATE: Blaylock has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide. Obviously the focus here should be on the loss of life and not just the former athlete, but needless to say this is not good (for anyone involved).

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that former Oklahoma basketball star, Mookie Blaylock, was involved in a very serious car accident Friday afternoon. The report also states that Blaylock, and the other two victims in the accident, were transported to the Atlanta Medical Center and that Blaylock "was on life support and unresponsive."

Blaylock was a star for Oklahoma during the 1988 and 1989 seasons and remains one of the best players to ever come through Norman.

We will provide updates on his condition as the come available, but for now Sooner Nation needs to pray for one of their fallen.
