Jonathan Gray Became The Second Sooner Pitcher To Earn Conference Honors This Season - USA Today Sports
Jonathan Gray joined teammates Dillon Overton and Matt Oberste on Monday in being a conference weekly award winner.
Gray was named the Big Twelve's Pitcher of the Week after a seven inning performance, on Saturday, in which he struck out eight batters and held #12 UCLA scoreless. The Sooners beat the Bruins 4-0, earning Gray his third win and marking his season record at 3-1. The win was Oklahoma's first shutout victory since May of last season.
In 26.2 innings pitched this season he has struck out 27 batters and allowed just six runs to score off seventeen hits. His strikeout count is the fourth best in the Big 12 conference.
