OU's Tia Brooks Sets Record In NCAA Title Defense

Via SoonerSports.com: It was another brilliant performance for redshirt senior Tia Brooks, as she crashed through the women's collegiate and NCAA championship shot put record with a personal-best throw of 63-0.75/19.22m at the Randal Tyson Track Complex on Saturday evening in Fayetteville, Ark. With the record-setting throw, Brooks defended her title in the event, and claimed her third-straight NCAA crown in the shot put after she won the competition at both the indoor and outdoor championship meet in 2012. She also becomes the No. 5 U.S. indoor shot putter of all time, and currently ranks No. 4 on the 2013 world list.
