Oklahoma's Matt Oberste Named Conference Player Of The Week...Again

For the second consecutive week Oklahoma's Matt Oberste has earned conference accolades. Named on Monday as the Big 12's Player of the Week, Oberste helped lead the Sooners win the Kleberg Bank College Classic in Corpus Christi over the weekend.

OU went 5-0 last week with a two game sweep of Arkansas-Pine Bluff and then wins over Iowa, Texas A&M Corpus Christi and New Mexico in the Kleberg Classic. For the week Oberste batted .450 with with two doubles and two home runs tallying eight RBI and four runs scored.

Oberste leads the Big 12 in hits (15), home runs (3), RBI (17), total bases (29) and slugging percentage (.853). He has hot safely in all nine games this season and in twelve consecutive games dating back to last season.
