Sooners Come From Behind For Kleberg Classic Championship
Things haven't always come easy for Oklahoma's baseball team. In fact, for the second Sunday in a row the Sooners found themselves in need of a big hit late in the game to preserve their perfect record an once again it was a veteran leader coming through in the clutch. Last week the heroics belonged to junior Matt Oberste and this week it was senior Jack Mayfield leading OU to victory on the last day of the weekend.

The Sooners faced a thread from the mound on Saturday night in the way of Texas A&M Corpus Christi's Trevor Foss but set the tone early. Oklahoma attacked Foss, who had entered the game having pitched 9 scoreless innings with 15 strikeouts, in the first inning and then held on for a tight finish, thanks to another strong performance by their guys on the mound and some timely hitting.

Overton Fans Nine As Sooners Move To 7-0
Oklahoma won a pitcher's duel on Friday in the first round of the Kleberg Bank College Classic. Luckily for the Sooners they had Dillon Overton on the mound as he kept Iowa at bay during his eight complete innings of work. He was masterful in his attack of the Hawkeye batters. He struck out nine, lowering his season ERA to 0.38, and retired 24 of the 32 batters he faced.
