Oklahoma men's basketball announced late Tuesday afternoon that sophomore guard Je'lon Hornbeak will miss the next four to six weeks after suffering a broken bone in his left foot during practice.
This has been a recurring problem for Hornbeak who dealt with something similar back in April and then again in August shortly after the Sooners returned from their trip overseas.
The loss is a significant one for an Oklahoma team that does not have a ton of scoring off the bench, which Hornbeak had been providing while also coming in at point guard to spell Jordan Woodard.
If Hornbeak were to be out for the full six weeks, that would put his return about midway through Big 12 play.
Without Hornbeak, one would have to expect increased minutes for true freshman Frank Booker and possibly even redshirt freshman C.J. Cole.
