Okay, granted, moving up six spots isn't necessarily soaring but when you consider that the last game was a lackluster win over hapless Kansas then you might as well be flying as high as an
Jayhawk eagle over a six-spot bump. That's exactly where the Sooners found themselves on Sunday afternoon when the Coaches Poll moved them up from 18 to 12 just a week after the beat down in Dallas.
While the move did little to give Oklahoma a shot at reaching the BCS championship (Not sure we'd want that anyway) it does bring up an interesting thought that the coaches think more highly of this Sooner football team right now than the fans do.
Also making a big jump this week are the Baylor Bears who bumped up seven spots to #5 in the Coaches Poll. Texas Tech and Oklahoma State are also representing the Big Twelve in the poll.
