There needs to be some changes

I am sick of losing the big games. The coaching staff in place right now has gotten complacent and lazy, and out of pure ignorance refuses to change their game plan when it is painfully obvious that it is not working. For example, during the fourth quarter of The Cotton Bowl against Texas A&M when Oklahoma was down by three touchdowns they still only threw short passes and only ran straight into a All-American Defensive Tackle instead of attacking the secondary which is considered by many to be the weakness of the Texas A&M defense by throwing the ball downfield. But all of that pales in comparison to the blatant lack of urgency being shown on the field by the Sooner offense in the second half, if someone just started watching the game in the fourth they would have thought that they were up by three touchdowns based on how slow the offense was moving. The shortcomings of the defense the past few years has been talked about enough on here so I am not going to get into that situation.

So what do you change? Well it has to start from the top, now I am not saying that Bob Stoops needs to be fired because I do not think that will happen. What I am saying is that there needs to be a culture change at Oklahoma. They can not go into every game anymore thinking that they are going to win just because they have the word Sooners written on their chest because it is obvious that the other teams have caught up to Oklahoma. They also need players that will go out on the field every single game and play with heart and determination and be proud while doing it.

How do you make the change work? Simple, make every coaches seat a little hot, give them a warning tell them that they need to improve the quality on the field back to National Championship standards in three years. And if they can not, then get Jon Gruden and Kevin Sumlin on the phone and maybe they can
