Ok, I usually follow recruiting pretty closely. Its a guilty pleasure of mine. This year though, for a variety of reasons, I haven't been and I am thoroughly unimpressed. I usually don't put total blind faith in the star rating systems used by the top recruiting news sites but they are usually a pretty good indicator of a kids talent at least. What I would like to know is why is our recruiting class shaping up to be so God awful? I see that almost all of the top 100 recruits are already committed and we have just 2 out of the top 150 and 4 more that are ranked in the top 300. I know it is a long way till February but we need a lot of DT, DE, and LB's in this class and not just bodies, we need studs, and I just don't see where we are going to get them. Can anyone calm me down at least and give me a glimmer of hope or is this going to be the worst recruiting class we have had in more than a decade? If anyone has any news pertaining to defensive front seven guys that are considering OU besides Justin Manning I would be much obliged.
