One thing that this Oklahoma Sooners Men's Basketball squad has been lacking is depth as well as height. While the most recent commit in PF Dominique Elliot from Trinity Valley C.C. does not add the height Oklahoma is looking for in the middle of the floor, he certainly adds depth behind the likes of Romero Osby.
Elliott spent the weekend on the campus in Norman, Oklahoma and was supposed to take visits to Southern Miss later this month as well as Ole Miss in early October. Apparently plans have changed as James Hale of OUInsider is reporting. Earlier this evening Elliott gave his commitment to play for the Oklahoma Sooners. I'm sure having the likes of Blake Griffin on campus the same week might have helped sway him a bit seeing as they play the same position.
Dominique Elliott originally signed with Missouri State but was unable to qualify. In taking the JUCo route, Elliott has averaged 8.2 points per game and 8.7 rebounds in his freshman season at Trinity Valley.
