It's well known among college football fans that OU plays a tough schedule every year. In fact the last 4 years the Sooners played the toughest ranked schedule 3 times, and the other time they played the 3rd toughest schedule. Our (ahem) friend to the south don't believe in such nonsense. They believe that a win over Texas State School for Unwed Mothers counts just as much as a win over Florida State University. I've been observing the Longhorns penchant for...well...SOFT scheduling for many years now. They will point out the rare tough nonconference game as an argument...but one Ohio State does not equal 50 New Mexico States, imo. Anyway, I've provided the following flowchart to aid our friends to the south in their nonconference scheduling. They need all the help they can get when it comes to planning and thinking ahead.
