I honestly didn't know JUCO guys didn't need Clearinghouse approval. Bester is not in Norman, but is cleared and will be here next week.

Was told #OU's diligence in procuring Bester's paperwork was the biggest holdup since he graduated two weeks ago.

Oklahoma fans received some really good news Thursday evening when Carey Murdock, of SoonerScoop.com (Did you know they're running a one free month special right now?) broke the news that Lacoltan Bester was "good to go" and enrolled. The even better news was the fact he would not need approval from the NCAA Clearinghouse, notorious for taking their sweet time, before receiving official clearance.

As you can see above, Bester has not yet arrived in Norman but should be doing so shortly. Which is a good (and necessary) thing with respect to his chances for contributing this season. The fact that he will be here to fully participate in fall camp only bodes in his favor.
