The Big 12 conference announced Friday afternoon that the Oklahoma Sooners 2012 home opener, versus Florida A&M, has been set for a 6pm (CST) kickoff.

With the announcement, the Sooners open the first two games of their season with night games which was a point of contention for Bob Stoops & Co. this offseason.

There was no announcement regarding the television situation, which could potentially be of even more interest for OU fans than that actual time of the game. At one point, it was assumed that this game could potentially be the first football game shown on the Sooner Network (or whatever it might eventually be called). However there has been, at best, very little information made available regarding the university's television network. Which means until there is some kind of release from OU, this could potentially be another dreaded pay-per-view game.
