Sooners Drop Bedlam Opener 3-0

Stay connected for news and updates

There's really not a lot to say here. Oklahoma State's Andrew Heaney was basically untouchable while going nine innings and giving up just three hits in a complete game shutout. The Sooners had five players reach base in the game but also hit into a double-play twice.

Kansas State 9, Nebraska-Omaha 4

Kansas 5, Air Force 2

Texas 6, Missouri 4

O-State took the lead in the bottom of the third when Zach Fish and Saulyer Saxon scored. They would then add an insurance run, that they wouldn't come close to needing, in the bottom of the fifth when Fish scored again.

Jordan John went the entire way for the Sooners as well. He faced 32 batters, giving up the three runs on seven hits.

The Sooners will try to force a rubber match for Sunday when the two game hook up again tomorrow night in Bricktown. Game time is set for 7:00.
