Army enters the Charlottesville Regional with the best overall record at 41-13. However, their RPI ranking of 272 is the reason for their #4 seed. The Black Nights won the Patriot League tournament and enter the NCAA as an automatic qualifier to make their first appearance since 2009.
Much like Appalachian State, Army has some guys who can give the ball a ride. Kevin McKague leads five Army batters hitting .300 or better.
