While it is not the best win in recent history for this program, it marks a milestone that Oklahoma hasn't seen in a few years. With this win the Sooners achieved a .500 record in the regular season, besting what last year's squad was capable of. However, with that win comes a few things...
- as mentioned above it puts this team at .500 in the regular season
- the hope of reaching a post season tournament is still alive
- it locks up the 8 seed in the conference tourney
- the Sooners will wear their home jersey on Wednesday against the Texas A&M Aggies once again
Hopefully this team will have a repeat performance in Kansas City as the conference tourney gets underway. The winner between these two on Wednesday will face the #1 Seeded Kansas Jayhawks in the second round.
