When former Sooner defensive end Frank Alexander mysteriously revealed last Sunday night on his Twitter account that he would not be participating in the NFL Combine the following day many were speculating as to the reason why. According to reports, the reason was a previously undiagnosed heart condition that was discovered during the battery of physical tests players undergo at the Combine.

Needless to say a scary situation for any player, but the good news is Alexander has stated he does not believe the condition will be career threatening. Obviously it's disappointing that he lost the chance to impress NFL scouts and coaches this past weekend, but for the sake of his long term health thank goodness the doctors did find it before, god forbid, something tragic might have happened on the football field.
