University of Oklahoma football players, Jalen Saunders and Cortez Johnson, reportedly arrested early Sunday morning.
According to the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office Information System, it appears that Oklahoma football players Jalen Saunders and Cortez Johnson were arrested early Sunday morning. The charge listed on the report for both was possession of marijuana.
Saunders has starred for the Sooners this year at wide receiver after being ruled eligible just prior to the Texas game. Johnson is a defensive back and is sitting out this season after transferring from Arizona.
Needless to say, the news of their reported arrest is disappointing in the wake Oklahoma celebrating a Big 12 co-championship after a win Saturday against TCU.
Obviously with Johnson already sitting out, any suspension forcing him to miss a game would not come until the 2013 season. Saunders, on the other hand, could potentially be suspended for OU's soon to be determined bowl game.
We'll update this story if and/or when any further details are released.
