Haven't you paid attention the last several years?
We are told repeatedly that the regular season is a playoff. That’s the excuse for why some teams get in and others don’t. So that means it i supposed to be based on your body of work: Who you played, whether or not you won, and how impressive you looked doing it. Bama has played noone. Think about that. They are in this game solely on the strength of having only lost to LSU by a field goal in OT. That pal is a joke.

If you adhere to the rules that have been laid down from the beginning
that you earn a spot in the NC based on body of work during the regular season, then OSU is you team. They had a much better SOS than Bama. This has never been about who was necessarily better. Otherwise, we would have had to have a serious discussion about Boise State several times in the last few years.

In my opinion Oregon would probably win a rematch
Like WVU, they had more total offense than LSU in that game. LSU does have an opportunistic defense though….I’ll give them that. Still it’s pretty sad when your offense looks like the JV squad.

Add to that victories over KSU, Baylor, Texas, A&M. That is better than anything Alabama has done this year. If Bama had won against LSU it would be different, but they didn’t. Penn State and Arkansas are all they have to hang their hat on, and 7-5 Auburn is frankly not worthing mentioning.

LSU shouldn’t have to play bama again. But I don’t think LSU is all that. The sec was average at best. They got by Oregon. That’s it.

somebody ought to mention that no offense in the SEC could score on LSU. The vaunted LSU defense got bombed on when they played WVU and Oregon. In other words, they don’t exactly play any real offense in the SEC this year. And their defenses on the whole are overrated.

Next you’ll want a better defense than Utah St., Connecticut, Nevada, and Western Ky. – ranked 50th, 51st, 52nd, and 53rd in overall defense this year – edging us out at an embarrassingly 55th. Trigger the MStoops signal!!!!!!!!

I really would have never expected this – but our defense was 5th in 3rd down conversion defense! And 15th in Red Zone defense – seems very strange – not the defense I seem to remember, but I guess we imploded we really, really imploded. We do drop pretty substantially in scoring defense = 31st, but weird that we strong statistically in a couple areas that I would not have expected.
