A quick OU football roster update

Just in case you couldn't tell which one was the DT recruit, Jordan Wade is on the right.

Just a quick update on some roster coming and goings. Friend of CCM, Jake Trotter ($) is reporting that previously rumored to be transfers Josh Aladenoye and Torrea Peterson have asked for and are being given a second chance to work their way back onto the OU football team. Sounds very similar to the opportunity we heard Austin Haywood was given, but hopefully with a much different result of course.

In addition, the guys at SoonerScoop ($) have confirmed that both DT Jordan Wade and DE Chaz Nelson have both enrolled at OU and will be good to go once classes resume next week. Nelson is a JUCO player that you're probably familiar with already. Wade was originally a member of the 2011 class but ran into some academic issues and was unable to enroll last fall.

One other promising bit of information is that talk has been WR Trey Metoyer is just waiting on the NCAA clearing house to give the final sign off and that all expectations are he'll be ready to enroll either before or shortly after classes resume next week.

Wahoo finally some good news. I’ll take it. I’m hoping some of these younger d linemen get some experience next year so we aren’t completely screwed the year after

Weren’t we in the same position a few months ago with Metoyer?
He was waiting last august to enroll based on the decision of the NCAA clearing house after spending the summer taking extra classes.
Will this be a repeat of that? Did he not work hard enough to get the grades again?
