Griffin is a beast

CP is the best point guard in the NBA and the Clips are the real deal. Who’d have thought that 2 years ago?

by SocalSoonerFan on Jan 31, 2012 12:10 AM CST reply actions

And he's only a beast because they are no good athletic PFS with smarts in the game

Ibaka is athletic but doesn’t have the smarts, Dirk, Gasol, Randoph, and K-Love are not athletic, KG and Duncan are too old. Barkley, Rodman, Duncan, and KG in their heyday would have eaten the Flopper for lunch

by das06h on Jan 31, 2012 12:24 AM CST up reply actions

Blake Griffin is dead to me

He’s a bigger flopper than CP3 and acts like a cocky prick on the court who wants to start crap and never back it up just like Kevin Garnett. When he came to OKC Arena last year for his first game he was booed hardcore every time he went to the FT line for his antics. Give me Kevin Durant and Westbrook any day of the week over Flop City and All Show But No Substance Clippers. Trying to posterize every possession and go for dagger 3s worked tonight but won’t in the playoffs. Who cares if he gets ejected? Perkins should have body slammed Griffin

Offensive foul????

you sir have no idea about anything sports related!!

by shockstj on Jan 31, 2012 1:05 AM CST up reply actions

shoving a guy out o the way with your arm is a foul

Tony Allen called it one on twitter, and he’s one of the best defensive players in the game

by das06h on Jan 31, 2012 7:00 AM CST via iPhone app up reply actions

If anything it was an defensive blocking foul

Perkins left his feet and wasn’t “straight up”. He jumped into Griffin creating the contact

Das how is Blake Griffin

dead to you and he dosnt even know you? Pretty sure he will sleep well tonight. Im glad that the OKC organization isn’t as classless as your argument and its quite obvious that you don’t love basketball because if you did game would recognize game. Do us all a favor and lose your computer jerk.

durant

Too bad it wasn’t Durant that he slammed on.

I mean, it's not quite as impressive as this

But it’s pretty close I guess.

better if he dunked in Durant?!!!!??

Can not support a website that doesn’t support the Thunder. Durant has done more for Oklahoma than Blake ever will. Blake has taken on the persona of the city for which he plays and says nothing positive about the city from which he came

He's a horn

You can have him.

Now who's being petty

Refuse to support a guy once he’s pro AND sacrifices everything to put the state of Oklahoma on the map because he played at UT. KD will go in the HOF eventually as one of the greatest players in the game. BG is nowhere near his level. People are just overly-impressed by dunks and the lack of PF depth in the game

by das06h on Jan 31, 2012 6:48 AM CST up reply actions

describe this for me
sacrifices everything

Is the multi-million dollars he’s currently earning this “sacrifice” that you speak of?

And petty? Sure, I’m cool with that. When the guy comes to OU games and does the ‘Hook em’ you expect OU fans to support him just b/c he plays on the local NBA team? You can, I won’t. I don’t care what you think of it, just like you surely don’t care what I think of you doing it. What I’m not doing however is coming here, an OU site, and lecturing others for their opinions.

His 5 year contract

rather than three years and opting out for bigger lights was kind of a big deal last summer. Or haven’t you heard of the Decision. KD always says he’s playing in OKC for life. That’s sacrifice when he could be playing in Bos, LA, etc. for more money, notoriety, and so on

by das06h on Jan 31, 2012 8:29 AM CST up reply actions

we'll see

I’d venture to guess Lebron said something similar at one point in time about playing in Cleveland.

in the hall of fame, Roy Williams will pass Jerry Rice, Ricky Williams wins the rushing record and finallyyyyy……wait for it…Texas wins the national championship next year.

WTF are you talking about

None of this BS equates to my irrefutable statement about KD’s legitimate presence in the HOF. So you’re not allowed to like KD if you’re a Sooner fan because he played for the Longhorns? KD goes out of his way to say he loves Oklahoma and Oklahoma fans, unlike Blake. When asked what there was to do in OKC by LA reporters who were clearly making fun of the city, Blake just laughed and said, “Nothing, really.” I would have been pisse but Blake just let the mockery continue. Stand up for your city.

by das06h on Jan 31, 2012 7:46 AM CST up reply actions

Um, no
So you’re not allowed to like KD if you’re a Sooner fan because he played for the Longhorns?

YOU can do whatever you want. WE, meaning those of us who you’re referring to, can do whatever we want. It’s a beautiful world that we live in that way. So spare us all the lecture, don’t be a douche, and just go about your business.

Cool?

And if all this stuff happens

I’m finding you and kicking you in the head. My love for KD does not mean I love the shorthorns at all. This statement is utter rubbish

by das06h on Jan 31, 2012 7:47 AM CST up reply actions

Someone block this Das idiot

“Blake has taken on the persona of the city he plays for” yeah, that’s kinda how it works Das. You are being payed millions of dollars by the Clips, you are going to be expected to not bad mouth the city. No true OU fan would get mad at Blake for this. And I love KD, he may be a shorthorn, but he’s awesome and is a humble Midwestern guy

Hurray for the anonymity of the internet

or your wife would definitely have you hooked up to sleep on the couch for the foreseeable future. Women do NOT like to discuss their weight.

Rumor has it that Texas is about to sign a huge corporate sponsorship deal for the Longhorn Network. They just have to decide which brand represents them best: Dyson, Eureka or Hoover.

And I know a lot of Oklahoma people

who don’t like Westbrooks antics and him showing up his team at times. And most people think he had a lot to do with OKC not being in the finals and the best u come up with is Blake persona. As long as Blake is a great teammate he is making me proud. You have a whole lot of AUDACITY to come on here and try to take our joy and what belongs to us.

by philcamro on Jan 31, 2012 8:57 AM CST via mobile reply actions

Just appreciate the play!

CCMachine Jr. is the biggest Thunder fan that you’ll find but all he could talk about last night was how awesome Griffin’s dunk was. Sure the loss was disappointing for OKC fans but come on…give Blake his due credit. To criticize one of OU’s greatest basketball players the day after he thrashed our local team is petty and reeks of sore loser. We’re better than that!

Griffin posterized Perkins plane and simple. I was a great play.

by ccmachine on Jan 31, 2012 9:32 AM CST reply actions

okay, so I've been a douche

Sorry for taking my anger at the Thunders clunker and Perkin’s suckiness (time to start Cole?) on this community. Still think BG and CP3 take flopping a little overboard, but they definitely showed OKC’s true colors last night

by das06h on Jan 31, 2012 10:05 AM CST via iPhone app reply actions

no real need to apologize IMO

I’d just suggest you checking out one of SB Nation’s many quality team blogs. Like say, this one maybe.
