Former OU commit De'Vante Harris commits to Texas A&M ($)
"I see a lot of similarities between me and A&M. I’m small in size and a lot of people think A&M isn’t ready for the SEC. I’m ready, we’re ready. We’re ready for Florida, LSU, Alabama, all of them. We’re not going to back down from anybody."
My issues with how his whole thing with OU went down, I absolutely respect this kid's decision to do what he feels his best for him. I sincerely wish him the best of luck and honestly hope everything works out for him.
That said, enjoy losing for the next four years my man.

Calling out LSU and Bama
before you hit the practice field. Nice… Glad we won’t have this kid calling out Texas October 1 and getting them fired up for the game. Good luck kid.

Kind of like calling out Mike Tyson in his prime. Very poor choice of words and if he is on the field for those games I’m assuming they will make him eat those words.

Something tells me he will want those words back at some point.

Love that saying
I bought a t-shirt with Lincoln’s picture on it that has that saying at the Lincoln gift shop next to Ford’s Theater in Washington D.C. Old Abe was a smart man ;)

I keep a file on my laptop of quotes that I like to read thru every couple of months.
Abe Lincoln owns about 40 or 50 out of the 200 or so that are on there.

I actually never understood this, oh, wait.....
"We're Texas. We don’t derive our value or self-definition from conference affiliation.
If that strikes people as cocky, so what? It’s also true. None of us will chant our conference’s name when we have an off year and Texas Tech wins their bowl game. Our definition of self comes from us – not our conference, not our rivals, not media perception.
sometimes things work themselves out for the best
I think this is the case here. also with edwards
I do want DGB though

.500 in the big 12 and he thinks they are ready for the SEC
Ok big boy. Might want to learn some history other than boy cheerleaders & dead dogs.

This kid has seriously drunk the cool-aid
Someone should perhaps point out to him that A&M finished 7th in the Big 12 this year. But they’ll totally rule in the SEC…oh yeah.

Well if he's got aggie in him i'm glad he didn't come here

If we can get Brandon Beaver
And steal Colin Blake from A&M, I’ll take that trade every day of the week.
100% agreed
We need kids who want to play ball, not another loud mouth.

Do we still have a good chance of getting Blake?

From what I've read, yes. Very much so.
It may be another signing day switcheroo. W/ Harris’ commitment to A&M, the Aggies now have six DB verbals and I guarantee you the OU coaches are pointing that out to Blake.
He could play either IMO
I think OU would like him at corner ideally, but they’re pretty fluid w/ their corners/safeties for guys like Blake.
like a red-headed stepchild
Harris and the aggies are going to be a beat-down in the SEC. They will have more in common with Mississippi than LSU, Ala, and Florida. Stupid aggie.
Idiot
Left cause Martines “resigned”. How is playing for Mike Stoops not an upgrade from Martinez?

Maybe you didn't mean it this way
But let’s refrain from calling names. The kid has every right to change his mind and while we may not agree w/ his decision to do so or the manner in which he did it, it’s still his decision. Just respect it and move on IMO. This is just how recruiting works sometimes.

You never know
He might pull a switcheroo on signing day. 85 did…twice. LOL
