Did OU commit Trey Metoyer just get some good news?
His tweet Wednesday night certainly seemed to indicate that he did. Obviously a player's Twitter account isn't exactly the most reliable source of information, but with the news that Matt relayed via Jake Trotter was positive and this appears to be an extension of that.
In case you're unfamiliar with Metoyer's game after having to wait a year to get him on campus, here is a highlight package to catch you up.
Just another ho-hum Wednesday right? OU gets Mike Stoops back and a stud five star wide receiver. Yawn!
(Oh, and you might watch the video on mute unless you're into head banging. Which if that's the case, bang away my friend.)

Good luck keeping him eligible…

It’s not like dez or jb haven’t had their share of academic struggles.

I could bring up a certain player that went to OSU in the early 80's and played for the Redskins
But I prefer to stay classy…………..

it's always best to stay above the fray,
plus it’s not like Dexter Manley couldn’t read at all. He scored a 6 on his ACT for OSU and you certainly can’t do that just looking at the pictures.

No, just sign your name!

man they win one time and suddenly you can't shut em up.
I sure hope you enjoy it while it lasts cause I’m sensing a nice little 63-10 type loss for the pukes next year at Norman.

At least he isn't a legacy and still chose
Stanford…

You're really pushing it here CowboyKS
I’m being generous even keeping you around after this comment. Push your welcome again and you’ll feel the wrath of the CCM ban hammer friend.

There has been no attempt at real conversation in any of his posts.
Send his butt back to trolling ESPiN and be done with it. We have all seen this type before and it only ends one way.
So push the shiny, red button.

If you remember back in the 1990's
this is the same type of PUKE that felt confident to trash OU after they won in the first time in a generation.
I'm a Sooner Born and a Sooner Bred, and when I die I'll be a Sooner Dead!!!
Maybe you can go shopping at the mall with your boy Dez cowgirlks.

I stand in the shadows of champions past and guard every inch of this hallowed grass. I train to remember although i may bleed. We live by the code, of the crimson and cream. Come on down Trey!
BOOMER!!!
Rumor has it that Texas is about to sign a huge corporate sponsorship deal for the Longhorn Network. They just have to decide which brand represents them best: Dyson, Eureka or Hoover.
Talk about a man among boys, wow!
Can see the field well, can jump out of the stadium and defenders bounce off of him. All you need to know about this guy you can learn from the body language of the DB’s.
Awesome! that is all.

Well he certainly seems to attract a crowd!
Great hands. Never saw him drop a single ball ;-)
Should be a great add!
mjc
Does anybody know if
he’s improved his speed any? I know people that saw him said the one real knock on him was that he wasnt very fast

he is never gonna be a burner
but then again not many defenders are going to be able to defend passes 15 feet over their heads and Metoyer will bring those down with regularity. so it’s a give and take ;)
He's no Rocket Ismail but he's not exactly a slug either
Like you said he’s gonna get the high passes that Landry loves to throw. He’s extremely athletic and that will be enough to burn 99% of the defenders he’s up against.

oh yeah man,
but I just want to point out that thats what makes DGB so special. He can run right past you or catch it 15 feet over your head!:)

no question
But physical specimens like DGB don’t exactly come along every day as I’m sure you would agree.
Hopefully Landry and Trey can develope some good chemistry!

Giving his best
It seems as though there is alot of negative about the kid and he is just arriving in Norman.
Give the kid a chance to see what he can do because he could have given up when he was not able to enroll or went somewhere else.
But when he does excel on the field just be thankful he is on OU’s football team and not one of our opponents like hmmm(Justin Blackmon who wanted to come to OU and play but OU stop pursuing him after Sumlin went to Houston)
He was the best receiver in the nation 2 years in a row, and just think him and Broyles together instead of Dejuan Miller who OU picked instead and that kid had hands of steel.
Trey welcome to Norman and son just do your best and God will take care of the rest.
And BTW OU has not had a receiver thats going to just run past you but the receivers have enough and the right speed.
So get off the kid back unless you have something positive to say.
Don’t get me started.
I'm not sure about the negative... I think the majority of OU fans are excited about him
I know I am. This is one of the better stories for the Sooners in 2012.

totally agree w/ ^this^
There is almost zero negativity in my mind. Sooner Nation has been waiting over a year to get this guy, why on earth would we be negative about it???
Watching the video
He will fit in with Landry’s pump fakes….
I like ‘em. Would have went with different metal though. Tired of the Navy video music. WASP’s Blind in Texas would have been great.
