OU's Javon Harris to wear #12 vs. Mizzou
Sticking with their theme of rewarding the player with a big game from the previous week, Javon Harris has been chosen to wear Austin Box's #12 jersey Saturday night against Missouri. We thought it would be someone from the "Sharks" and that was confirmed when it was announced this evening that Harris would be the man.

Congratulations, Javon!
I know all of Missouri’s wideouts will have Harris in the back of their mind when they go up to make a catch. He blew a coverage last week, but delivered some vicious hits, not to mention the two INTs. I love how multiple our defense has been this season. Ronnell Lewis can play linbacker, Tony Jefferson can play safety, and that really allowed them to employ some nice blitz packages against FSU. Memo to James Franklin: You may have some running ability, but use it at your own risk. Boomer Sooner baby!
Good for Harris
He definitely deserves the #12, especially after last weeks outing (minues that horrible break on the jump ball, of course). Austin would be proud. I can’t wait till Travis Lewis gets to wear the jersey. He’s going to play like his hair’s on fire, although, the coaches are probably going to save that show for Texas or Bedlam.

Excellent choice.
While his overall game may be a work in progress, the plays he has been making are stellar.
His hits are punishing and he seems to be all over the field. His second interception against FSU was highlight worthy, only inches off the ground and vertical, he snagged the tipped pass, secured it and protected it from the ground in nanoseconds. That kind of athleticism is what keeps him on the field and I for one am grateful he is out there. Being awarded the honor of wearing Austin’s number and leading the team onto the field Saturday night is a special honor, indeed. An honor I’m certain he is proud of.
