I knew Demarco would represent this countdown.
Seven days sure sounds better than seven months or weeks.
It’s on!
All talk now turns to the home opener with Tulsa and the game plan is being installed, not just battling for a spot or conditioning.
As for Demarco, he will be missed. After all the dings that hampered him early on, his hard work and perseverance all came together his Senior year. Even if he didn’t rack up the yards many other backs did, his consistency and reliability were a major strength to a very young team. I can only hope the backs replacing him will protect the ball as well as he.

I actually wanted to do something on the 7 championships
But got home too late and had to get up too early this morning. Murray was the easy out.

That would have been good, too.
Still, much respect for #7.
He conducted himself on and off the field with dignity.

If only we had Demarco right now
There’d be no stopping us for sure. It’d be a better offense than Sam’s 08 team’s offense

Demarco was a wonderful Sooner. Great ambassador for the program. Played his ass off and never had problems off the field. He’s an outstanding football player and a great person.
If he never suffered those injuries…
I think the OU/Florida game would have been completely different with Murray. No offense to Chris Brown, but he’s simply not Demarco Murray.

In other news
Texas A&M expected to announce it’s leaving Big 12 within week
CBS wire report dated Aug. 27.
haha, we've heard that before
We all know it’s eventually coming but really, right now I don’t even feel like it’s news. I read the article on the four letter network. As close as it is to the season I don’t care about a&m and their little brother complex. I just wanna see some games being played. a&m can be middle tier in another confrence next year.

Can't wait!!
Will miss DeMarco with his courage, leadership and moments of brilliance. But I am eager to see the endless new crew of fast, faster, and still faster backs… Should be very interesting…
also loved the article with the appropriate slams on C. James…
