Oklahoma Fans Worried About DE Ronnell Lewis' Status: Watch This!
There has been much concern of the eligibility status of DE Ronnell Lewis. Maybe it is because of his near cult hero status. The Hammer will certainly be missed on special teams but could there be another like him at defensive end? Fear not CCM readers, David King is showing why he is a more than capable starter on this Oklahoma Sooners squad. King was impressive in the Oklahoma Drill as he sheds his blocker and annihilates the running back. Stoops has even gone on the record with NewsOK saying
"David King has looked just great the last couple of days," he said. "I look at David as a starter just as much as Frank (Alexander) and Ronnell."
If this video doesn't get you excited for some Oklahoma Football, I don't know what will.

No doubt

great hit, save some energy to punish
utexass’s new hard core running game. Smack swears it’s gonna be good.
At this point,
What wouldn’t get us ready for Oklahoma football?

No official word yet
But staff as well the coach at Tyler seems to think he will be in Norman this month
I'm more sanguine
on Metoyer than I am on Lewis…maybe it’s b/c we need Lewis more than Metoyer this year.
I may be well past my football prime
but I think watching stuff like that makes a lot of us want to line up and hit someone!!
Are you ready for some football!!!???

Great post about David King
who has been flying under the radar. I saw that clip couple days ago via Sooner All-Access. King looks more physical than Jeremy Beal. But have you seen Ronnell Lewis in this drill? The kid is unreal. DeJuan Miller’s blocking looked good too for a WR. Stephen Good? Not so much. Lane Johnson may be a fixture on the O-line.
I have seen Ronnell do the Oklahoma Drill
His number was called first for it but I was getting at the fact that his eligibility jury is still out. There is a possibility that he does not make it on the field this year and the point was to showcase another DE that will fill the gap and tide us over. Just don’t count King out of the picture at anytime regardless of the status of R. Lewis.

Very impressive!
Besides having the physicality needed, someone coached this young man up good.
The quickness and strength he displayed made me watch this over and over.
If you train people properly, they won't be able to tell a drill from the real thing. If anything, the real thing will be easier. --Richard Marcinko
Even though it's not my school
I loved watching that video. Seeing the offense vs. defense pride always gets me jacked up. Good find.
