man, am i ready for the season to start. just over two weeks until fall practice starts! the sooner are well known to be a very young team, with a LOT of sophs and jrs who are already proven players. colvin and jefferson are for sure 1st round picks and ronnell lewis may well end up the same. one redshirt frosh, daryl williams, is on the new depth chart as a starter at offensive line. adam shead, rsf, is listed as second team. in fact the two deep has only one player above soph on the two deep offensive line, unless you count stephen good, which i won't, and that is jc transfer lane johnson, who evidently is so talented that he was immediately moved from tight end after a couple of workouts. tyrus thompson, who was co stud, along with williams, of the ol recruits, isn't yet on the two deep. mcfarland, mcgee, and martin will have to dig in to hold off torrea peterson, eric humphrey, and true frosh marquis anderson on the interior line of the defense. the offensive backfield is pretty well set with no probable suprises but there are possible studs galore in the defensive backfield. rsf quinton hayes is on the two deep and julian wilson and james haynes were 4 star by one recruiting guru or another. even if none break into the starting lineup, the pathetic kickoff coverage of last year should be improved. and the wide reciever corp just continues to get better. rsf justin mccay already is on the two deep. sheldon mcclain is a four star by everyone and of course, hold your breath on the eligibility issue, 5 star trey metoyer. don't forget jaz reynolds. the sooners should be a deep, talented team with loads of experienced players, some of which may not be able to hold off the younger youngsters for playing time. its another year off, of course, but DEATH TO NOTRE DAME in 2012.
