OU Baseball - Tyler Ogle drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers
OU's outstanding catcher, Tyler Ogle, has just been drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers with the #284 pick in the 9th round of the 2011 MLB draft. If I'm not mistaken, he was the first Sooner drafted so far and will likely now have a fairly tough decision as to whether or not to return for his senior season.
Updates to come when any other Sooners are drafted, but for now congrats Tyler!

somewhat of a surprise IMO
I really thought Smith or Buechele would go ahead of Seitzer

No problem!
My day off so I’m trying to help the community.

Archie has said, concerning his decision
“I’d like it to be as soon as possible for both organizations, you know whichever route I choose because I think that’s only fair and only right,” Bradley says. “I’d like to give Oklahoma an idea and Arizona know as well, so now that it’s for real and it’s actually happened, me and my family are going to sit down and try to make probably the hardest decision of my life.”
Still no official word and I wouldn’t expect any decision to be made until he knows the numbers on the MLB contract and then has time to weigh things out with his family.
Thanks...
That’d be a tough decision. Young kid like that looking at all that money. Meanwhile if he were to go the college route and get hurt somehow that earnings potential goes away or, at least, gets diminished. Hope he stays but I could see either point of view really.
Yep
Look at Matt Purke

Couple more players chosen
Seniors Ryan Duke (25th round, 781 overall) and Michael Rocha (26th round, 811 overall) were both selected by the Philadelphia Phillies while redshirt freshman Jordan John was taken by the Houston Astros in the 28th round (850 overall) to give OU seven picks on the day.

I was hoping Rocha would be drafted by the Rangers.

Would have been nice to keep him somewhat close to home

A couple more
Junior outfielder Chris Ellison was the second Sooner taken on day three of the 2011 Major League Baseball Draft, joining Tyson Seng in the 33rd round (NY Mets). Ellison was selected on Wednesday in the 39th round (1174th overall) by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Norman, Okla., native is the ninth Sooner taken in 2011 and joins the nine signees that have also been taken in the last three days
