Sooner Nation Talks NFL Prospects

Jordan and I will be joined by Wes Bunting of The National Football Post. Wes is the Post's director of college football scouting and attended last weekend's combine. We're curious to get his take on DeMarco Murray, Jeremy Beal and Quinton Carter as well as a few other prominent Big 12 football players bound for this year's NFL draft.
Join us live at 9:00 (CST)

UPDATE: Due to a minor legality we're not able to rebroadcast the Wes Bunting interview. Instead, Wes has agreed to another interview this week in which we'll be able to replay.

#Oklahoma is officially the only unbeaten team in Division I baseball.

Josh Hamilton: "I just show up, look at the lineup and play where I’m told. If they want me to catch, I’ll catch."
Jon Daniels on relationship with #Rangers Young: "I’d love to walk in and hug everybody every day, but that’s not critical to us winning." 2/19/11

Murray is a mid to high second rounder. Maybe the rams

Carter in the third, texans or jags

Beal in the sixth, Pitt

Would love to see the Rams get

Julio Jones from Bama and Murray in the second round. Put those two with Bradford and BOOM!

Von Miller seriously doubt he has the work ethic to make that elite level.

he relies alot on just what he has physically. LAZY…. hence the cramps & the straight up attack

basketball…..whee

while I DO NOT want Gillespie, my brother brings up a good point.

It ll take a guy with his own baggage to take a chance on the uncertainty with the NCAA

I have no idea…but there is almost 200 D-1 schools..and they all have assistants…I’m sure there is one out there that is qualified. I also know I don’t have to know their names.

what's sad about this comment

is that you seem to think the best OU can hope for is a D-1 assistant. That may be true but it’s a sad statement about where OU basketball stands, at least in your mind

by omsooner on Mar 6, 2011 9:41 PM CST up reply actions

um…well, that wasn’t my intention actually. I think there are great coaches out there, and I don’t know them. I mean, is the assistant for UCLA (to pull a name at random) the next big thing? Or is the head coach of Sacramento St (again, name at random) the guy?

But, yeah, I don’t think the OU basketball job is that great of a job.

nor do I sadly

but I don’t believe in just firing him to fire him. Whoever coaches next year is in trouble unless they find a way to unload some of the practice players on scholarship right now. Plus, who’s going to take the job with an investigation still not resolved.

those are all reasons

but, to me it’s a spinning of the wheels. the team can’t and won’t get better until Capel is fired. The next guy will have to do some hard rebuilding, and that’s not going to be anything over night.

This OU Women's team

is “off” somehow. Not sure where or what. They seem to look tired to me

is it "too much" focused on D-Rob?

not enough of a “team”?

maybe, but outside of ellenberg who else is there?

they just don’t really have any other consistent scorer

see

that’s what I’m kinda hinting at….not enough “talent” beyond D-rob and Ellenberg.

and one player can get cold. Or even get “hot” and not be enough.

I think so....

even against Baylor the scoring stopped when the ball stopped going thru Ellenberg
