Why Texas A&M, or Oklahoma or UT aren't going anywhere
This is a well written blog article explaining why A&M and OU to a lesser extent, aren't going to another conference. OU is joined to OSU. A&M is joined to the other Texas schools. And those are important points

excuse me for being naive but,
isn’t it time to get the fing POLITICS out of this argument? Is there no shame with the pukes, tam, tech, baylor etc admitting they are hitching themselves to the big brother they pretend to hate for FINANCIAL reasons?
I understand the financial reasons for “U” to stay in the big ? – they get $15M from e*$*# AND a split of the money from the other teams in the big ? who get into bowl games, March Madness, etc.
There is ZERO reason for a school to be tied to another state school when it comes to athletics unless the school demanding the association is willing to ADMIT in WRITING that they DEPEND on their HATED in-state rival for the athletic success of their univeristy.

I just read all the comments on this article and now my head hurts!

yeah…the blog author is a corporate attorney..and is pretty dang smart when it comes to all the media stuff of the conference realignment and worth following when it comes to conference realignment. The commentators…..well…it’s a mixed bag.
