Honestly, I wish they would have made it.
It would have been a great game to watch. Also, it would put OSU at a higher level of prestige, making our future victories over them look better. As it stands now, I’m not watching the NC game, and I suggest everybody not watch it. A ratings can trigger a strong push for a playoff system. We all know how much money means to the powers that be.
I guess Tempe will have to work.

There is a notion that had Oklahoma St. been Oklahoma
they would have gotten in over Bama simply for the name on the front of the jersey
it's probably right though
"I feel sorry for peple who don't drink, when they wake up in the morning thats as good as they are gonna feel all day long." Frank Sinatra
I'm sure it is
if you look at the 2 teams’ schedules, OSU’s was tougher. There’s no doubt. The only game OSU lost was the same day the basketball coaches were killed in the plane crash. And they just annihilated OU on national TV while Alabama sat home and watched. Bama already lost to LSU at home. If it was in Baton Rouge, that’s a different story. Alabama is in b/c they’re Alabama, plain and simple. That’s it.
The fact that OSU didn’t get more of a boost after destroying us maybe says something about how OU is perceived right now b/c if our reputation was better, OSU should’ve vaulted into the title game.
Texas too....

I would much rather watch OSU in the big game
esp. considering that one of the teams in it had a shot and didn’t even win their own division, let alone their conference. Not saying that should be a rule, but everything being equal I agree that fan interest would be much higher everywhere outside of the ESPN crew, if OSU were in the game.
No big suprise honestly
What I cannot get over is how much OSU and OU left on the damn table in 2011.
OSU’s defense is awesome yes (on the turnovers); but for gods sake stop someone sheesh! OSU showed flashes of being a good defensive team but in the end that is all it was; super quick flashes. Then right back to rubberbandville.
Put a power run team with a pretty good pass defense and OSU is in trouble.
I don’t know who the heck put on the sooners uniforms for TTU and OSU but there was not a hint of fire in their eyes either game; save maybe Finch in the bedlam game.
Oh and maybe Wort but he seems to play only for himself the jersey is irrelevant.
So yes hooray OSU won bedlam and I celebrated for a couple hours then started thinking what a friggin mess both teams made of what could have been a very special year. The OU team that played Texas went AWOL.
For 2011: Love the turnovers want better D. There I said it. Offense winds game Defense wins championships.
Last line & first line
I could not agree more
