I saw part of the Thursday Insight Bowl press conference on the 6 PM local sports broadcast and was refreshed to see the candor Coach Bob Stoops used when questioned about the number of transfers / dismissals / evictions that the team has experienced this year. It was almost as if he he was so tired of his usual "no comment" response that he finally opened up. I looked on the News 9 website, but didn't find the video clip there, but ran across it this morning as the annoying auto-play video in Travis Haney's article in the Oklahoman. His comments (and the link) are after the jump.

Bobs comments begin around the 1:42 mark of the video, after Damon Fontenot shows us that he prefers to trim his bowl game beard closer than Landry does and that he would apparently rather wear K-State colors during his three and a half minutes of face time.

Defections magnified because of disappointing season

Haney's article goes on to say that the teams attitude has improved during bowl prep because 2% of the team isn't eating up 90% of the coaches time.

On a side note, Kirk Ferentz's eyes seem like they are too close together. I think head coach eye spacing give us the edge we need to bring home the victory.
