PrintI saw part of the Thursday Insight Bowl press conference on the 6 PM local sports broadcast and was refreshed to see the candor Coach Bob Stoops used when questioned about the number of transfers / dismissals / evictions that the team has experienced this year. It was almost as if he he was so tired of his usual "no comment" response that he finally opened up. I looked on the News 9 website, but didn't find the video clip there, but ran across it this morning as the annoying auto-play video in Travis Haney's article in the Oklahoman. His comments (and the link) are after the jump.
Defections magnified because of disappointing season
Haney's article goes on to say that the teams attitude has improved during bowl prep because 2% of the team isn't eating up 90% of the coaches time.
On a side note, Kirk Ferentz's eyes seem like they are too close together. I think head coach eye spacing give us the edge we need to bring home the victory.

haney is the biggest douchette in the State of Ok
he also talks about Lou Holtz and while I am not a Holtz fan the old man can coach. But Mr docuhette call out Holtz and I bet douchette man never saw Holtz coach a single game.
Honestly Haney has not credibility in my books.
The one thing being a lot older has going for it, most of us older have seen more CFB than most younger people have seen web pages.
A few comments...
First I want to defend Damon Fontenot. He is as big a Sooner as anyone who has to maintain a level of objectivity due to his job. He was on my floor our freshman year at OU (Walker Tower 4 East 1993-1994) and he was always one of the ones who was there 3 hours before kickoff trying to get a good seat at the game in the student section.
Second, I am refreshed that Bob has said something about these transfers. This will be addition by subtraction. In these days of 85 scholorship limits, there might be some folks who are better who are not currently on the team.
Sure we did not have the fireworks we are used to offensively, and the defense made us nervous at times, but was the outcome ever in doubt? These coaches did what it took to win a game.
Travis Haney does indeed need to go back to SEC territory. If you are not going to get OU products to report on OU, then at least get someone from our general region who is not going to tell us how new they are, or how they prefer to be somewhere else every other article like Travis does. At least we do not have to worry about ESPN stealing him.
I would love to see them design East Handkerchief U uniforms for a combined Fraternity division intramural squad to face the Varsity if they come up short a game. It would be downright hilarious.
