So earlier today we told you about the Sooners missing on 2012 JUCO CB Kasseim Everett as he announced this afternoon that he would be committing to Texas Tech. Well, now several hours later Everett has apparently had a change of heart and has in fact sent his signed LOI into the OU coaches this afternoon.
It's an incredibly bizarre situation as the young man held a ceremony at his school and announced in front of all in attendance that he was picking Texas Tech. According to reports, he didn't immediately send in his paperwork after doing so, spoke with the Oklahoma coaches, and apparently changed his mind.
Obviously the Red Raiders loss is the Sooners gain in a physical cornerback that could allow the OU defense to keep Aaron Colvin at safety if need be.
Everett becomes the 18th verbal commitment for the Sooners in the 2012 class.
