Landry Jones and Brandon Williams
One of my friends goes to the same church as Landry Jones, and he overheard Landry assuring people that he's coming back for his senior season. I'm sure it's not surprising news as many of us figured he would come back, but it's news nonetheless.
The Brandon Williams transfer to Texas A&M was also mentioned. Although that's more hearsay than an actual confirmation. But, by the sound of it, Landry is staying and Williams is leaving. Just thought I'd tell everyone, even though it's probably already assumed to be the case.

Williams very well may transfer
but A&M is not a likely destination unless he wants to sit out two years

Are you sure about that? A&M will not be playing in the B12 next year, so I am not sure the 2 year conference xfer rule would apply. He’d be very wise to find that out before making a decision though. If he even leaves OU.

Well consider the source
And I can’t believe I’m even using him as one, but Mack Brown was quoted as saying so when talking about the rumors of Darius White’s possible transfer to A&M. From what I read, b/c A&M isn’t officially leaving the Big 12 until next calendar year it would still technically qualify as an inter-conference transfer and thus the two year rule would apply.
Could be wrong, especially in trusting anything that comes out of Mack’s mouth, but it’s what I’ve heard.

I would think that it could be appealed once A&M leaves the B12. Kind of a risk though. If Williams does leave, wouldn’t be surprised to see him wind up at UofH if he’s really that homesick.

Texas A&M is much closer.....
to his home in Brookshire than UH is in Downtown Houston.

Can we have it the other way around
I’d rather keep Williams and lose Jones

Why
Does anyone know any details why Williams is leaving?
Is it even official yet? He could have a change of heart. Reason I heard, which is just rumor as far as I’m concerned, is he misses his daughter down in the Houston area/misses family in general.

Official? No, not yet
But many believe it’s just a matter of time before Stoops confirms it. Could very likely come tomorrow when Stoops meets w/ the media for the first time in weeks.

If the daughter thing is an issue....
can anyone blame the guy?

If it's actually legit, then no. Absolutely not.

Heard last night
Apparently, after meeting with Kevin Sumlin, Brandon Williams was offered and accepted a transfer to A&M. Not sure when anyone will know how long he must sit before he’s eligible to play, but my guess is 2013.

The one thing being a lot older has going for it, most of us older have seen more CFB than most younger people have seen web pages.
