Bob Stoops' first meeting with the media since the disappointing end to OU's regular season did not bring much good news. The Sooners head coach confirmed that WR Jaz Reynolds, RB Brandon Williams, and FB Aaron Ripkowski will all miss the bowl game on December 30th against Iowa.
Reynolds has apparently been hospitalized since suffering a kidney injury in the Bedlam game. Stoops said that Williams had suffered a neck injury, which certainly had never been mentioned before today. There had been speculation that Ripkowski suffered a major back injury and Stoops confirmed that it was an injury to his back but did not provide any information in regards to the severity.
Needless to say this is not good news for a struggling OU football team. Injuries have absolutely ravaged this team and evidently this bowl season will be no exception.
