Why Oklahoma Has A Shot at the National Championship: It's the Computers
From BCS (and Basketball RPI) guru Jerry Palm computer calculations, OU is #3 in the country. If OU were to win out, we should be #1 in the computer polls that still count for 1/3rd of the BCS formula.

I'm glad you posted this
But how accurate is this guy usually?
After reading the ESPiN report on BCS standings yesterday, I pretty much came to the conclusion Sooner Nation needs to stay good and limber (do some bend down and touch the floor stretches) and keep plenty of lube on hand, because when Bama only drops 1 spot after that loss and enjoys a fairly large lead over the other 1-loss teams in the BCS I’d say we’re all gonna have a sore a$$ come December.

I'm just worried about the next game.
and the next, and then Bedlam. I hate to say it but Baylor scares me.

What scares me
is the propensity of these ESPN goons to want to weigh the losses against one another come crunch time. If that happens, unless we have a GIGANTIC lead with computers, we are hosed. They will jump Oregon ahead of us. Watch. Assuming we and Oregon win out and LSU stays undefeated.
Oregon already played LSU and lost too
PLUS OU/OSU game will be highly hyped…it will be the game fresh on voters minds
I understand
But the voters and their ilk will inevitably look at the one loss on the resumes of those one-loss teams. OU’s loss is, by far, the most atrocious…especially at home.
We really need to 1) win out, 2) make statement wins and 3) hope for Stanford to lose and Oregon to slip up again.
We also cannot have a train wreck in the SEC where Georgia happens to win the SEC Championship. That scenario was a disaster for everyone, especially if Bama and LSU win out otherwise.
I got a bigger train wreck scenerio:
Arkansas beats LSU, then Georgia beats LSU in the Championship game….but yeah we want to avoid those.
They might compare one losses…but they also need to compare wins: OU will have beaten FSU, Texas, K-state, and OSU all top 10 teams when OU played them.
We must win.
We must win big.
We must destroy the next 3.
You know what I like? Baylor was where coaches put it together. The defense came together. We shall see. But IMO the timing of everything is key. It’s time to dig deep & we got a bye week to get the slot together & get this thing done. And honestly, I think we see more no huddle, more diamond And all! Look at it this way, no one comes of the field now. Millard, finch, jaz, stills, Hanna, truly moving them around……
I broke down the top ten
Into what each teams opponents have done this season to this point. There is a reason we have computer polls. Voters dont take the time to do this. If they did, I think the polls would look different. LSU does indeed have the best resume. Surprisingly OSU has a pretty good resume as well. Only OU even comes close to those 2. Stanford has only beaten 3 teams with winning records as well as Bama and Arkansas. So things in the SEC aren’t what they seem. If Florida got the chance to play in the MNC after the Ole Miss loss at home, I think OU shod get the same treatment if they win out. Maybe a homer view, but it’s how I see it.

I am not going to hold my breath waiting for it to happen
only after the end of the game on Dec 3rd will I give any of this more thought.
With the TT loss and the rash of injuries inflicted on this team I can almost envision losur st playing LSU in the NCG, and getting their asses kicked so hard it actually hurts.
The one thing being a lot older has going for it, most of us older have seen more CFB than most younger people have seen web pages.
