Blake Bell
It seems as though the team gets a little more excited when BB comes into play, or is just me? Landry just seems dry out there, just kinda going through the motion. Maybe he still feels the sting of coming in after Bradford? I am hopeful that BB can become a good passer. He has the size and mombility to cause some concerns for the opposing D's out there. Adding a third dimension such as a running qb is exciting to think about.

Good observation on Happy Feet Jones
Jones does in fact look dry out there. Bell so far has shown he has some real strength. I would like to see if he can pass during the last few games this season.
Right now I think the OU players and coaches are playing out of desperation which I don’t think fits their style. Maybe the Coaches should put Bell in more often and not necessarily just on 3rd and short or goal line instances. Put the kid in during a real pressure time and give him the opportunity to succeed when it counts.
When Bell becomes the starter at QB the style of OU football will change completely.
The one thing being a lot older has going for it, most of us older have seen more CFB than most younger people have seen web pages.
Ride Williams & bell the next 2 games.
I don’t wanna go all Blake on an offense. But we need some time control offense, hence bell & Williams. Chew up the clock 4 yards at a time & keep the secondary on the bench.

Use that when we need our "4 minute offense"
like they do in the NFL. When you’re up and you need to grind the yards and wind the clock, put in Bell and Williams and milk that sucker. Ground and pound. This cutesy system, where a QB throws for over 400 yards and no TDs, ain’t cutting it. I like the yards, but we need scores and we need toughness from the OL. With this defense, we now apparently need 10 minute scoring drives too.
wishful thinking, I want to see this too, its just not going to happen.

Agreed
I think he should get more than his “package of plays” now. At this point, he needs to get a complete series at a time. Mix in some zone reads, some throws, everything. I think Landry is done here. He has shown near-to-zero improvement since his freshman season. He throws for lots of yards, but truth be told, many FBS QBs throw for the same amount of yards in this system.
Bell me!
