Stoops legacy?

I often question how good Stoops actually is? If you notice, ESPN does not ever have much to say about stoops. For soon reason fans have build up this mystique around Bob Stoops. He did win an early national championship, won big games early in his career, and also produces a good team with a good record. With that said, that national championship was won with players he did not recruit. His defense, while decent, has always given up big plays (except the defense in 1999-2000, not his recruits). He was a defensive back coach? I would not know that by our secondary play. The question has to be does Oklahoma want to settle for having a good coach, or do they want to win more national championships. It has become obvious that Stoops style of coaching is not working and that he's not able to change and adjust. It getting old losing all these big games, BCS bowls games, and game against teams we should beat. Stoops is just plainly getting out coached. How long, with his extremely high salary, does he get to be a average coach?
