Landry Jones named Big 12 Offensive POTW
After his 500+ yard, five touchdown performance this past Saturday against Kansas State, Oklahoma's Landry Jones was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.
Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week
Landry Jones, Oklahoma, QB, Jr, Artesia, N.M.
Landry Jones completed 35-of-47 (.745) passes for a school-record 505 yards and five touchdowns (two interceptions) in No. 9 Oklahoma's 58-17 win at previously unbeaten No. 8 Kansas State. The junior's yardage figure also was the most for any player at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. His TD throws covered 11, 18, 29, 8 and 12 yards. OU finished with 690 yards of total offense, its highest total since the 1978 Oklahoma State game (692), and averaged 9.2 yards per play against the Big 12's top defensive unit entering the game. With his 90 touchdown passes, Jones set the Oklahoma career record previously held by Sam Bradford with 88.

I am totally spoiled.
I just sit there and watch the game and . . . it’s just another game. Nuthin special. Indeed I have so few concerns about the offense that I didn’t get all that worried when Whaley left the game (felt really bad for him though).
But once again Landry puts up stupendous numbers! and here I sit — under appreciating him again.
Folks there is no such thing as too much of a good thing! or . . . maybe, you don’t know what you got till its gone.
Congratulations Landry!

Bradford . . . Bradford Where have I heard that name before?
I all seriousness, how blessed are we to have quality guys like Sam and Landry running our offense the past few years. Not perfect, but there are a LOT of teams that would like to have OUr problems.
Rumor has it that Texas is about to sign a huge corporate sponsorship deal for the Longhorn Network. They just have to decide which brand represents them best: Dyson, Eureka or Hoover.
Just think about those days from 1994 to 1998
I dont think I need to say anymore……..
