Matthew Moreland Has Left The Oklahoma Football Team
According to several sources (including Moreland's FaceBook page) senior kicker Matthew Moreland has left the Oklahoma football team. There's no indication as of why he's leaving just yet but the current depth chart shows juniors Patrick O'Hara and Jimmy Stevens as the two kickers so playing time could have been an issue. Moreland played his high school ball at Bishop Kelly in Tulsa. Good luck Matt in wherever life may lead you!

Wish him well personally
But I never understood Bob’s insistence on using him for kickoffs. He never reached the end zone and was below average at the one and only thing he was on the team for.

A back up kicker that had no leg walking off the team is no real loss for the team. BUT as a senior?
I don’t think the kid has any idea what he is walking away from. Any one of us here, wouldn’t give to be a back up kicker and play football…just for one season, if it’s from the sideline?
